A great, inexpensive alternative to musical in ear monitors
The MMCX jacks are the standard for Shure, Westone and other, more expensive IEMs. I replaced the cable with a standard 3.5mm jack (no microphone or controls) and these are easily as good as far more expensive in ear monitors for musicians.
A huge step up from the quad drivers
I have noticed a significant improvement in the sound quality of the songs I listen to. The level of detail is impressive. Surprisingly (or not), they sound much better than the 1more quad drivers I used for the past five years. These new P-50s are also way more comfortable and lighter compared to the quads. Initially, I was unsure about the over-ear wires, but after using them all day, I did not experience any soreness around my ears.
Great sounding and very comfortable fit
I enjoyed the previous model of 1More earbuds; the quad drivers but the new Penta driver earbuds are a lot better sounding and fitting than those are. These are a definite upgrade from those. The Penta drivers are a lot louder and clearer and they won’t fall out of your ears even if you move your head a lot due to the way the wires sit behind on your ears. Very nice feeling to wear and even nicer sounding.
Fantastic headphones for the money
I have been trying to find a headphone to beat my Sony MDRXB55AP Wired Extra Bass Earbud which I purchased around $80. Tried many headphones including high end Sennheiser, Sony, Bose both wired and wireless versions. 1More Penta is an incredible headphone for the price. The bass and sound quality is fantastic which is difficult to get for an in ear headphone. Just make sure to fit the right silicon or foam for your ear canals. You will be pleasantly surprised for the change in sound quality.
To describe my experience as disappointing would be an understatement. I was really excited to find positive reviews and information about their technical specifications (ie drivers, materials...etc). Upon using them for a week, I returned these. Personally, I have mid-large sized earlobes with relatively smaller ear canals. Though the strap design provides a secure fit on the ear, it is very annoying if you need to take it off quickly and put it on again. For example, grabbing something slightly out of reach, or going to the bathroom. I got more annoyed at this design as the days of the week went by and use increased. The sound quality is borderline great, but if you use them for at least 45 minutes or an hour, the vibrations in your ears caused me discomfort to the point that my left ear started swelling. After this realization, I understood that they didn't provide the utility you would think or the quality you would receive at this price point. There are many better options in the market than this.
Replace ear tips
Excellent sound but 3rd party comply foam ear tips better sound then.
Definitely a step up from the quad drivers I've been using for the past few years
These headphones are fantastic. The clarity and detail is amazing, and the replaceable cable is a huge plus. I've only listened to them for a few hours, but so far, I'm very impressed. As with the quad drivers, I am looking forward to completing the break-in period to hear how they sound. There was a noticeable difference between the pre and post break-in periods with the quads, and I am expecting the same. Also, I plan to buy an upgraded cable with a 2.5mm balanced connector to really make them shine. Highly recommended.
A successful story
For the first time, I am hearing details in songs I’ve been listening to for 50 years.

That's small price to pay for the sound quality you get.
