I use the headphones with a long extension cable to watch/listen to movies at night when others in the household are sleeping. They work fine for my need. The box in which they're packaged is a bit of an (expensive-looking) overkill.

I own, I think, 4 pair of these headphones. I've used them to drown out Salvation Army bell ringers, for listening to music for hours at a time, and I've also assigned one pair to permanent duty on my digital piano. I also have a pair of the quad-drivers, but I think these are better. The clarity of the audio is definitely better in the triple drivers.
